1- The continuation of military operations in Gaza Strip :

The Military operations continue for more than (3) months, with the mounting volume of human and assets losses on both the Israeli and Palestinian sides, and the unprecedented decline in living and humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip in light of Israel’s violation of the right to self-defense.

2- Main Israeli army’s Targets in Gaza Strip:

Infrastructure, hospitals and deepening the human suffering of its residents to increase popular pressure on Hamas movement, beside hold it responsible for the deteriorating conditions in Gaza, while ignoring international/regional reactions to civilian casualties.

3- Israel Continues its attempts to push the residents of Gaza towards the south:

This is done by the fowling:

A – Throwing leaflets urging the residents of the city of Khan Yuns to leave towards the Palestinian city of Rafah on the Egyptian border.

B – Deepening the humanitarian crisis inside Gaza Strip and helping to form a stifling humanitarian situation that pushes the population to voluntary forced displacement.

C – No positive measures had been taken by the Israeli side to return the residents of Gaza Strip to the north of the Strip.

4- The Houthi group’s escalation of its actions against Israel:

Houthi group aims to put pressure on Israel to cease fire and allow humanitarian aid into the sector by preventing ships heading to Israel from crossing the Bab al-Mandab Strait, which contributes in pushing the region to slide into serious allegations that affect international navigation in the Red Sea.

  5- The current catastrophic deterioration of the humanitarian and living conditions in Gaza Strip:

A – Regarding the medical sector situation:

(27) hospitals out of service out of a total of (36) hospitals in the Gaza Strip – (110) clinics and medical centers out of service – (102) ambulances destroyed and the Israeli army besieging a number of hospitals and storming some of them – The number of martyrs with medical cards reached About (300) doctors /paramedics – the spread of diseases and epidemics and the infection of about (360) thousand individuals with infectious diseases.

B – With regard to Israeli targeting of infrastructure and vital facilities:

More than (355) thousand housing units destroyed – damaged (126 government buildings – 13,523 schools – 306 mosques – 3 churches) – 50 buildings belonging to UNRWA damaged.

6 – The most prominent Egyptian efforts regarding the current situation in Gaza Strip were as follows:

A – Hosting an international peace summit “in Cairo” on 10/21/2023 with broad, high-level participation.

B- The participation of the Egyptian President in the Arab/Islamic summit in Saudi Arabia on 11/11/2023, which resulted in the formation of the ministerial committee charged by the summit with intensifying Movements along with various international parties to calm the situation in the Gaza Strip, reach a ceasefire decision and efforts to reach peaceful negotiations.

C – Leading mediation efforts [in coordination with “Qatar – the United States”] – to reach a humanitarian truce (which began on 11/24/2023 and was destroyed more than once), included the exchange of a number of detainees on both sides [240 Palestinian prisoners – 80 Israeli prisoners – 38 individuals of other nationalities, in addition to assisting in implementing the exchange process between the two parties by receiving the prisoners through the Rafah crossing and handing them over to the Israeli side, in addition to the current efforts with the Israelis to establish a new truce.

D – Taking the responsibility of receiving/entering humanitarian aid into Gaza Strip:

(1) Coordination with various countries and international organizations in this regard, which was demonstrated by [opening the Rafah crossing permanently since the outbreak of the crisis, and contributing about (75%) of the aids provided to the sector.

(2) Coordination with Israel to restart the Karem abo Salem crossing to facilitate brings humanitarian aids into the Gaza Strip.

(3) Preparing the airport and port of Al-Arish to receive the largest amount of aid and facilitating the procedures for its arrival to the “Rafah – Karem abo Salem” crossings.

D – Assisting in the exit of individuals stranded inside the Gaza Strip [especially foreigners and double nationalities], whose number has reached more than (20) thousand individuals.

E – Receiving numbers of injured Palestinians for treatment in Egyptian hospitals [more than a thousand injured] in addition to establishing a field hospital in the city of “Sheikh zuwayd” .

F – Receiving (2) French/Italian naval vessels in port of Al-Arish to provide health care to injured Palestinians, and facilitating procedures for entering the main requirements for establishing hospitals.

G – Facilitating the procedures for entering the main requirements for establishing field hospitals into the sector from (Qatar – Jordan – UAE)

7 – The most prominent repercussions of the  current situation are:

A – The contribution of Israeli military operations to forced/voluntary displacement of Palestinians, in addition to the exacerbation of the refugee crisis and the increase in waves of irregular migration, which threatens security and stability in the region, especially in light of the possibilities of the conflict extending and expanding its scope to turn into a regional war, with the Houthi group continuing to escalate its actions against Israel across:

(1) Targeting commercial ships heading to Israel (targeting “24 ships”).

(2) Launching missiles and aircraft towards southern Israel (16) targeting.

B – Increasing the chances of a continued decline in food security, especially in developing countries, in light of the continuation of the Russian-Ukrainian war and its economic repercussions on the countries of the region and the current difficulties facing the continuation of the supply chains for international companies.

C – Exporting internal crisis to the region’s countries and opening a way for internal disturbances that threaten the unity of the cohesion of their societies through the increase in extremist ideology with the growing calls to target the interests of countries supporting Israel, located in the region.

8 – The Egyptian vision regarding the current situation in Gaza Strip:

A – The need to intensify international and regional pressure to reach a new humanitarian truce and ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

B – Rejecting all attempts aimed at displacing the Palestinian people to neighboring countries and the importance of issuing international resolutions criminalizing acts of forced displacement of the population of Gaza Strip.

C – Israel to stop targeting infrastructure, civilians and public facilities in light of Israel’s violation of the right to defend itself in violation of international humanitarian law and the need for it to adhere to its responsibility for the occupied Palestinian territories.

D – The importance of settling the Palestinian issue on the basis of establishing a Palestinian state according to the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.

E – Egypt will keep Rafah crossing open permanently, in accordance with considerations of Egyptian national security and the humanitarian needs of the Palestinians in Gaza Strip.
